This workshop will be held on January 13-14, 2017.. You will need a full understanding of your camera, this won't be a “how-to operate equipment” workshop. Ideally, you will need a laptop computer or a desktop and a version of Photoshop higher than Elements. However, this isn't a requirement. This workshop is for wedding photographers or photographers that want to start shooting weddings. As far as certain types of cameras and lens', bring your favorites & what you are most comfortable shooting with. In this workshop we will be discussing wedding related material as well as tips and tricks on how to succeed in this industry. Along with discussing the amazing advantages of being a wedding photographer, we will also be discussing the disadvantages and learning how to deal with situations we never dreamed we would ever enter into. The first day will be a discussion type day where we will go over contracts, booking clients, marketing, how to get blogged/published, and everything I do for my clients from inquiry to delivery. We will also cover EXACTLY how I edit my weddings and will give you the opportunity to edit as well with instruction throughout. The second day we will shoot an entire wedding day from start to finish. We'll start with getting ready pictures and finish with the departure photos. Youll see first hand what it takes to be a wedding photographer for a high end wedding. This wedding will not be a “thrown together” workshop wedding, it will have a bridal party, decorations, everything that you would see at a real wedding, you will see at this workshop. I will walk you through step by step of how I shoot my brides. Your registration will include a set of some of my custom foundation actions which I will get to you at the end or shortly after the workshop. This is not a workshop where there is one “teacher” who sits at the front and talks and talks, it will have more of a “discussion” vibe. I will present topics in which I will tell you how I would do something and then you guys will give your input, I believe that we all learn more from each other as opposed to one person telling you what you should and shouldn’t be doing.
